Kingarth Project

Kingarth House

A brief history of Kingarth House.
The property  was first constructed in the 1860’s and was called Denmark House. It is believed to have suffered a catastrophic fire  which unfortunately tore through the property and subsequently a new house was built on the same foot print in the 1890’s. In 1952 it was used as small private hotel until 1960 when it became a Naval Acadamy for young boys wishing to join the Merchant Navy. Following the closure of the school it went into private ownership and was acquired by the present occupant in 2013, who spent four years renovating the building to return to its former glory.

"MB Property Maintenance were appointed to repair and repaint the exterior sash windows and window sills in June of this year. It was no mean task with seventy individual windows, five external doors, and an intricate wood frames conservatory. The whole job took six weeks and the team were a pleasure to have on site.
Ben and the team did an amazing job and their attention to detail repairing damaged window sills, cleaning and repairing leaking gutters was nothing short of excellent.
I have no hesitation in recommending MB for all such property maintenance."
